CURRICULUM

Enabling pupils to excel and realise their full potential is at the heart of everything we do at Menorah Foundation School.

We are passionate about educational excellence. We seek to deliver an outstanding, broad and balanced curriculum, which covers all the objectives and requirements of the new curriculum, with further enrichment and cross curricular opportunities. We aim to develop the whole child through offering purposeful learning experiences and are committed to ensuring all children reach their potential.

Working together in year group teams, our teachers are able to draw on different experiences, knowledge and expertise to ensure they deliver lessons and series of lessons with a clear progression in subject knowledge and skills. Our values and vision underpin all our curriculum planning and we endeavour to be responsive to individual children’s interest.

Teachers and other adults at MFS create a positive climate for learning in which pupils are interested and engaged. Our interactive, exciting and multi-sensory approach to learning together with additional support and intervention ensures learning matches individual needs. We aim to promote a positive attitude to school where all pupils believe they can achieve.

As a school, we value and celebrate the diverse heritages of everybody in our school community.  Alongside this, we value and celebrate living in, and being part of, Britain. We celebrate in our weekly assemblies traditions and customs of other cultures and faiths. We also value and celebrate national events such as royal celebrations and general and local elections. Historically we also study key moments in British history in topics such as the Great Fire of London and significant historical figures such as Guy Fawkes and Mary Seacole.
